Yeah, that was the reflect part. She also has the repel (healing) and Tsubaki (attacking).

Actually, now that it's mentioned - her summoning chant did seem a lil off. Maybe the Shun Shun Rikka have more powers then we think and she could just be tapping into them?

I think it did more than just shield the snake. She's probably devoloped it.

She did not chant the whole chant, just a bit of it. They must've intended to remind us of it.

Santen Keshuun is the actual Japanese way to do the chant. Even the US version of the manga says Santen Keshuun. And since she practiced a lot before Ishida fought Mayuri-taichou, she is able to summon them without calling their names, but she still has to call the technique names.

Well, actually she can call tham out without speaking a thing, but I guess it's more powerful if she gives the entire incantation.
