And I'm getting a familiar feeling here. I used to love Naruto in the beginning, the character developement, storyline, and humour really got me hooked. However as I'm sure most of you know, it just became battle after battle after battle. One "killing" move after another and lo and behold one the combatants had yet another ace up their sleeves. I think this really got to me in the manga, when Naruto was chasing after Orichimuru's crew with Sasuke in the coffin. It just never seemed to end and I got bored with it as it reminded me of DBZ.
So here I am in what seems to be the same situation. Ichi getting his powers and the finding about his mother, his concern for his family, the comic relief of Kon, all that makes me like watching this show. Dont get me wrong, I love a good battle, but if its gonna take 20+ episodes to rescue Rukia and EVERY single division captain is going to fight Ichi, well you see what I'm saying...hopefully.
So am I wrong to assume all of this?

I'd watch it. ^_^
The series is still being released, so it's not like you can skip ahead, get hooked on the ending and wonder what happened in the middle. XD
I do that a lot....

Haha, okay, okay, You've convinced me. I've been playing the DS fighting game, so I've seen most of the captains. Just by looks alone I'm pretty interested in Sajin Komamura and Kurotsuchi. It looks to me like, even though it takes a while to rescue Rukia, things will be going on other than fighting.:face82:

If you think that Bleach is going to become one of those repetitive anime that only concerns fighting... you're in for a surprise. Just watch the rest and you'll see why we love Bleach so much... so it's based on fighting, but the overall plot is just interesting.

You will be pleasantly surprised if you continue watching. THere are actually not so many fights in Bleach...and the story gets really good.

Bleach is nothing like Naruto... The fights in Bleach are more than clones running at the enemy and dying then more clones and repeat =)

Watch it. Although right now it seems "fight-die-figth again-die again" cycle, it isn't like that. There is so much more to everything that it's amazing. I suggest you watch. Later on, it's just a couple of longer battles, not 436274623876928 of them in a row.

the battles are (to mention) WAY cooler and more exciting then Naruto's. The OST might be not that 'giving you that warm feeling' but the techniques and personalities kick mayor ass.
Idd, it's not Kagebunshin till he dies of boredom fighting clones.

HA! Thats exactly what I didnt want to happen here. I'm surprised so many of you feel the same way about Naruto. I havent been into an anime for years now. I missed not having a great show to follow. Looks like I jumped back in with a steller choice!
