Ichimaru-taicho's Bankai

I searched and there are no threads that directly approaches this topic. So, what do you guys think? His shikai is good, a Wakazashi that would extend up to any length he wishes in a matter of seconds. It doesn't stop there, he can change the direction of the tip as he wishes!!! I know that some ppl will think that is Zanpakutou is not amazing but I think it's really good in its own catagory(changing form rather than summoning)

I think it'ss be something that lives up to the name (Shinsou=God Spear, Divine Spear). Something along those lines (imagine - a gunblade that can fire lances of energy. w00t w00t.).

Maybe it is still in that form, but much longer and bigger... and has the ability to split at Gin's will... ie... forming legs that will stretch to any distance he wishes???

his bankai will probably make his sword extend to chase you to the end of the earth. or many swords appear that will strike the opponent from far, like projectile attacks.

Hmm... I like some of your ideas... Maybe it could stretch to any distance he wishes and brach off at any point he wishes, thus forming a network of steel... a bit like spider web!!!... Hahaha... anyway, I would LOVE to see Zaraki's shikai and bankai and dont you say Ichimaru sucks!!!

I use to hate Ichimaru a lot as well until I see the ability of his Shikai... It is still not as good as Senbon Zakura but I like the way he use it against Hitsu (pokes it through his own clothes!!! cheeky fighting!!!) Anyway, I want to see Shuunsuei's coz he wasn't given a Ranked seat before finishing Academy for nothing...

Anyway , as for his Bankai , my bet is that it's an enhanced version of his shikai . The way Byakuya's Bankai is an upgraded version of his shikai .

But in what form , I can't say . Mm .. it can stretch longer , bend at will , as flexible as cloth , come in numerous ' Shinsou(s) ' instead of one , with two extra stages improving it's powers ( Like Senkai ) , etc .

Let ur imagination go wild .

maybe it is similar to Byakuya's, like he would have 1000 swords at his command that he could make as long as you want, so his oppenent is surrounded by swords and is diced, minced, whatever until dead.

Then he can't become a Taicho, unless he killed the previous 3rd Taicho + Yama-jii or smeone like that said Kenpachi is the only Taicho has hasn't obtain Bankai...

In the video games (at least, the Gamecube and DS ones) his "ultimate" ability given in lieu of an official bankai is when he extends Shinsou to stab the sky, which then causes thousands of blades to rain down upon his enemies in epic fashion. I have a feeling that his bankai might not be too far off from this, as it definitely fits the name - of course "God's Spear" would rain from the sky, right?

MYKidd: Actually....in one of the episodes, right after Ichigo fought Kenpachi...somebody, Yourichi I think, said that all captains had achieved Bankai except one, Kenpachi....so that means that Shinsou has a Bankai, and Ichimaru has unlocked it...otherwise, she would have said "Every captain except two..."

Also, I think that the Fox explaination is the best one as well. Look at the evidence:

Ichimaru is sly and mysterious, like a fox...
His expression is slightly fox-like...
And Ichigo even called him a ..."...Fox-Faced B******!"

It is quite possible that Ichimaru Gin's Bankai is some form of a Fox...

I think Kubo wants to save Ichimarus ban kai until way later in the series. Theres just something really mysterious about Gins character, and revealing his Ban Kai would mean that we know even more about him. Kubo probably doesnt want that.

Okay,then it's maybe not his Shikai...I though of that many swords(I Can1t remember perfectly ,I saw that ep just once)

Tousen's Shikai has two forms:
1. Nake, Suzumushi - this produces a sound that pacifies his opponent (what he did to Ishida). I assume this is called Ichiki (form one)
2. Suzumushi, Nishki, Benihiko - when using this, Tousen jumps up and swings his sword. A sort of "aftermath" of the blades remains in the air where he swung it, and then, a multitude of sword blades appear. He then points the sword whereever he wants, sending those same blades there. He did that on Zaraki (and it didn't work).
For the second form, rewatch episodes 51-53, it's shown somewhere there.

yup thats right, you can have 2 attacks for your shikai perhaps more ? what about bankai is there different forms of that? i suppose there is, remembering B Rukia in his final attack against ichigo
