Is the Kurosaki a noble family

well i wonder sometimes that if the Kurosaki is a noble family,like i was reading volume 9 of bleach where ichigo was fighting ichimaru,ichimaru seems to have recognised him who he was even though it was his first time(ichigo)meeting him.:p:

Aizen knew of Ichigo's arrival becaue he knew where is Urahara's HQ in the Rukongai (episodes 61-63, somewhere there). And his only interest in Ichigo was Ichigo's Hollow (Aizen is intersted in hybrids - again episodes 61-63, somewhere there)

I don't think Kurosaki is a noble family from SS. If it would be so, everyone would tell about this Ichigo. And specialy Rukia, who just mussed know them all. Such thing would even happen, if Isshin was in SS as Kurosaki.

I doubt Kurosaki is a noble family in Soul Society. Otherwise Rukia would've said something when they first met. And everything would make a bigger deal of Ichigo but they didn't. I think Gin said he looked familiar because he was referring to Ichigo's resemblence to Kaien.

How can Rukia know? She entered Seireitei 50+ years ago, and the Kurosakis could have been stripped of their titles long before that. And, how would anyone know of Ichigo if he was born 15 years ago, on the little place called Earth?

I too doubt that Kurosaki is a noble family. Like others have mentioned, not many people recognised Ichigo's family name. No one seemed surprised to hear it either. If it were a noble family before, then I guess Ikkaku and the other captains, especially Byakuya would ahve made a great fuss about it.

I think its possible when we think of the Kurosaki's as a branch of the Shiba clan. Urahara said that Isshin hasnt been in shinigami form for 20 years, maybe Isshin hadnt been in Soul Society since then. When Isshin left Soul Society, Kaien died at around the same time, thus causing the Shiba Clan to fall into ruin.

its speculation but add that to the fact that Ichigo and Kaien look similar as well as Ganju and Isshin.

I also think that both of those facts are correct. Its true that a few of the higher seated officers came 'from the alleys' but I kind of like the idea that Ichigo is part of the disgraced Shiba clan. That's just me though.

There is a specific refernece in the Manga. Soi Fong says somehting about 'I was part of the low class Fong family' in Chapter 159. Unfortunately, that squashes that idea

As for Soi Fong, shes part of the Main Family as she said in the anime. Thats it, its just called Main Family

They might be noble since Kaien and Ichigo are identical twins borned in different time periods. Kaien is from the Shiba family which is a noble family.

you guys talk about ganju looking like isshin and ichigo looking like kaien..well that seems sorta true...we don't know how ichigo got his last name...he could have taken his wife's last name because neither the manga or anime specifies how they got the name Kurosaki. Lets just wait for TK to answer it because it'll probably show up sooner or later. Well i have a thoery...all the shibas have black hair.....and if kurosaki was related to them it wuld make perfect sense. Ichigo's mom had orange hair as he does. and karin i think has black hair or purple for that matter i can't really tell because they look kind of similar. And as for how ichigo got his looks, ichigo might have looked the same as his grandfather and so does kaien. its jsut that kaien was born before ichigo because ganju and isshin are brothers making kaien and ichigo cousins. and making ganju ichigo's uncle. this is a thoery and only a theory.

AFAIK the shiba clan lost their nobility on their own will. After the death of Kaien,they left the place (dunno what its called) where the shinigami's and nobilities reside. Because they no longer trust the shinigami's.
