Do any of you guys ever think of what would happen if a captain died? for instance they killed of Ukitake? what kind of uproar would happen.. do you guys think they will kill of any of the captains? if so which one is most likely?

i don't think they will kill any of them in the near future to upset the fans. a few had suffered fatal injuries but all recovered in the end. but if i have to choose, it'll be tousen because i think he's going to backstab aizen and gets killed.

I think before the series is over they will kill off a C/VC or two or three or four ect...Kubo cant possibly keep them all alive. In the upcoming battles I will find it hard to believe that EVERY single good guy survives.

I think Kubo created 13 Captains so they can be killed. Just like horror movies, Bleach will have spare characters meant for killing and build up some drama. :D

The previous Captain for 11th was killed by Kenpachi and Kaien was also killed. I think the next one to go will be Mayuri where Urahara gets summoned back to SS to take his place. Soi Fong may die in combat too and Yoruichi takes back her throne.

I agree with you as in Soi Fong might die but I dont think that Yourichi will take over again, I think that she might just run it until the whole Aizen thing is over then give it over to who is supposed to be running it. :headbang:

Hmm... Interesting... I don't think Mayuri will get killed... He will just dissapear or Urahara will just lock him up whilr thry finish off the Aizen business... Maybe Mayuri wouldn't care, as he did say that he coudn'r careless about the matter!!! Ok, Tousen needs to go. I doubt they will kill a captain. The only ones that I see will probably die are the Aizen, Tousen, and Gin. And I wish Mayuri would die, but I doubt it's going to happen. Hate that guy so much.

Hopefully Mayrui dies =D It's only logical if KT kills of atleast on captain. Yama-jii maybe dies if old age and Ichigo claims his place, but that's very unlikely.

The same uproar would happen as when Aizen was believed to be killed. So, not an entirely huge one. Measures would be taken, and some would grief, but they would just move on with their duties.

When it comes to captains dying, best I can picture is Byakuya dying for honor and protecting Rukia, and then Renji taking his place :P

It's also possible for Kenpachi to die in combat, and Tousen/Komamura dying for one another.

Mayuri has to stab himself with his own sword to turn into a goo. If you cut off his arms, then he has no way to do that. ^_^

Same here, at least not yet. In the future in some battle, a captian dying is possible. Even thought Ukitake is sick, I don't see him as one of the captains though.
Who I'd like to see dead: mayuri, but if he is alive I could still care less cuz I really don't pay attention to him unless he is playing some kind of important role. And I guess Aizen has a good chance of dying since he is the bad guy (including Tousen and Ichimaru, even though I don't want Ichimaru to die)

You forgot to mention Hitsugaya in that as well, cuz a lot of people would go crazy if he died. I'm a fan of Hitsugaya, but I can relate to people saying he should be dead (like when he fought w/ Aizen)

Yeah, the only reason I didn't mention him is because he there is an active anti-Hitsu club. I mean, i like him, but some people don't.

Well... I doubt that Ukitake would die as many here think. I do believe Shunsui would die sacrificing his life to his life long friend though. Yama is on top of the list being the big head of Soul Society who would have to sacrifice his life to protect Soul Society. Then there is the possibility of Byakuya dying and that would probably cause an uproar to many people considering that Byakuya has a very large fanbase. I think that he might die later on sacrificing his life to save the one person who has corrected him when he was wrong (Ichigo). Its part of the nobility thing I guess >.>

Of course all of the above are speculations. None of them were based on the manga or any other spoiler containing method.

If any captian should die I would be alright if it was Yamamoto, Kamamaru, Tousen, and Mayuri. I am sure that Aizen will be killed too. I just don't like the idea of any other chaptain dying. Now I could see some of the Vice-Captains being killed. I would be alright with First Division Vice-Captain, Ohmeada, and Iba being killed.
On the subject of the number 13 I read that the Japanese do not consider the number to unlucky.

Tousen could've been born blind, was given the ability of sensing spiritual energy and attaining spiritual energy to compensate. Obviously, Tousen, Ichimaru or Aizen, but because they betrayed they SS, they are no longer captains, so for some reason. I think Ukitake will die, fore he is sick and all.

If a captain were to die, they'd be more understaffed (and screwed) than they already are. I think Renji and Ikkaku are both probably close to Captain-level strength wise, but they probably don't have enough experience/leadership ability/desire to fill the vacancies. They could promote them anyways just b/c, but in any case, they have some rebuilding to do.

As for captains who could possibly die...the three traitors and Yamamoto top my list.

Well i think its possible through the Avatar of the sword to live on therfore its able to heal.. if the avatar died then they would most certainatly die.. Some of the Captains should've been dead already.
In some of the battles they fought, for instance Kenpachi's, I thought he was so badly injured he would die - esp when they showed him dropping his sword and Yachiru yelling out his name after his battle with Ichigo.

Maybe the unimportant/those not so focused on should really die off quickly, like Kowamura. He should die fighting alongside Yamamoto against Aizen and gang since during the execution of Rukia he was one of those who were supportive of the execution (read: Yamamoto's side). In addition, he was close to Tousen, so maybe in a bid to stop Tousen from causing greater harm he'll fight Tousen and die together with him.

And I also think Mayuri should die too. :P Mayuri dies, then Soul Society asks Urahara to return as Captain, but Urahara being used to the life outside of Soul Society decides to continue his way of living and not be a Captain.

What I don't get is that Byakuya said that if your bankai is forced to break and become your normal sword again, you die. If that's correct, shoudn't he, Renji, Kurotsuchi, Tousen, and Hitsugaya be dead?

But i thought the captain of the 4th division i fast enough to save Renji and Hitsugaya's lives?? and to confirm, is the back shadowed who saved renji's life the captain of 4th division??

I recon that they might kill Yamamoto off for some reason, I dont know like him trying to oppose Aizen or something with all his strengh. They might say the reason he lost is because he is to old. Like what happned in Naruto with Sandaime Hokage and Orochimaru. I dont think Komamura should die yet, that would be quiet sad. Kenpachi might die against an oponent while finnally able to achieve bankai or somthing against a very strong Vastrode. But hey! theyre all just ideas.

Hmm, I don't really want Aizen to die. Despite the fact that he was the one who caused all the chaos, I love his power. I want to see all of his power in work. Until I see every bit of his power, especially his bankai, I wouldn't want him to die. I love the fact he can also stop a sword with one finger and then stab someone so quickly. His power truly amazes me and if he weren't evil, he'd be one of my favorite captains.

I think of any of the captins were going to be killed it most certinly wouldn't be Aizen. It might be one of the little lacky bad guys underhim, like Gin maybe. But Aizen is to strong at the moment for anyone to take him down. (At least as far as I have read in the manga, which isn't that far *sigh*) And I don't want him to die!!!! He may be evil, but he is still my fav captin.

I seriously want Mayuri dead. His voice pisses me off everytime I hear it. It's all flat and b*tchy-like. I don't understand what people have against Hitsu, is he really THAT bad? He's annoying, yes, but I wouldn't want him killed off just because of that!

Lol the good thing about Mayuri is that he has Frieza's voice from dragonballz hehe.

Anyway It's an absolute no for Hitsuguya to be killed, he's too popular for that to happen and he's a character that takes part in a lot of Kubo Tites drawings and stories and stuff. It would be a major plot twist if he gets killed off.

don't you think it would be a good idea if a major and popular charecter died as it would be a real blow and sad moment in the bleach universe. there is no point if an unkown and disliked charecter dies- where is the sacrifice it just makes it pointless. the whole point of some1 dying is that it is a sad emotional moment like in naruto when
the hokage died this was sad and meant that the fight for good was meaningful. still i think in the manga loads of captains will end up dying although i'll leave that till the fillers stop.

Wow, no wonder I never liked Mayuri. I HATED Frieza when I used to be hooked on DBZ, so I guess that explains it. And I understand the point of killing off an important character to make a general point like good must prevail or something, but I really don't think Hitsugaya should be the one killed off.

Apart from the Shinigami that have joined Aizen,I could see Byakuya dying,and Renji dying.Mayuri seems evil so he'll probabably die too.

Well, Kenpachi did "kill" Ishin (probably) and he was a captain. Seeing how it was kind of normal for too many, I don't think a captain beeing killed would b so bad. Perhaps Aizen's death was jus shocking cuz it was Aizen, and no1 hated him.
