What is the correct way

of saying Inoue's little fairy spell.
"I reject!" as in the anime
or "I summon thee!" as in the manga?
Or something completely different?

I didn't see her use it in the manga as I must of not read those chapters, but "I summon thee" makes a lot more sense then "I reject"

Now this is bugging me, how come different translators have different words for everything?? like now it's either "i reject" or "i summon thee" and also "soul slayer" or "soul reaper" or "soul stabber", isn't there a definite definition for every word in japanese???!!!

I remember soul reaper, but I haven't heard the terms soul stabber or soul slayer being used by translators. I don't believe japanese words have direct definitions just like the english language doesn't

Same here, "I summon thee" sounds most logical, but "I reject" is way cooler

Eh... Actually both are used. She says the names of the fairies, then says "I summon thee" and then "I reject".

Although, if I'm not mistaked, in the Anime she generaly uses "I reject".

It's understandable if she uses "I reject" while using the shield spell, but the others:S

Well, see all three are shields....they explained that pretty well.


Sacred Tri-Link Shield - blocks things on the outside of the shield, (ie. attacks)

Sacred Dual Return Shield - Blocks things on the inside of the shield (ie. Healing)

Sacred Solitary Cutting Shield - Blocks things on both sides of the shield (ie...well....as Tsubaki so eloquently put it, "My job is cutting your enemies into two pieces"...lol)

Also, I like the sound of "I Reject" much better than "I summon thee"...but I saw the anime first, so...that might be it...

i summon thee is more "correct" but i mean... she sounds like an old grandma or something if she says that... lol sounds kinda off for modern words... so i think she should say "i reject"

Now what are the names of the fairies in each of the three different parts of Orihime's power.
I kind of like the idea of her saying I reject. It does sound different. As to I summon thee it sounds rather formal for her.

i read the manga in both chinese and english, and RAW i have seen it, if you translate it is "I reject" hence no doubt, it was twisted and mangled when they translated it to "I summon thee" cause that sounds like LOTR

and remember, unlike a spell, as kidou, none of the summoning spells actually make any cow sense if you read it.
