What Silly Things Did You Do When You Were Little?

As the title suggests, this thread is to talk about the funny, silly, wierd, odd, (whatever!) things that you did when you were little! And not just you, but anyone you know. People often did amusing things when they were smaller, (and I'm not saying when you were a baby, last year is also considered younger :winking56 ), and it's entertaining to read about them.

Hmm....I have a story. It's not funny, but it is kinda ODD. When I was in elementary school, I would never suck in breath when someone passed me. I thought that if you breathed in someone elses' scent, you sucked in their soul.

I fought quite a bit in school too,... i always hated it cause i was smarter than everyone else so i devised ways to get out,.. i punched a kid cause i knew they would send me home for 2 weeks... <.<... but likewise,.. im an angel now ^^

Ooh, since there haven't been very many stories yet...I'll post another one. (is that alright?) When I was six I adored my stuffed animals. I had sucha huge collection, but I would carry them where ever I could! It was a sort of hobby of mine. Likewise, my little brother had a hobby, only his was to deprive me of my little friends filled with fluff....I would set them out all nice and neat to play with them, and he would come along wreck all kinds of havoc! Pushing them onto the floor, stealing them, chucking them over to the other side of the couch, whatever he could think of. So I would end up spending all my time running around with my little animals, trying to get away from my brother, and would never get to play with the stuffed cuties....::sniff:: so sad :sad:

Back to the topic of the thread, when I was younger, once my sister was shouting at me in the kitchen because I had done something bad.....while she was shouting, I realised I had a knife in my hand.......one thing lead to another............and I kinda jumped forward in anger and cut the knife along her throat.........

before you all respond with disgust, realise that firstly, I was young! Secondly, it was only a table knife so wasnt sharp and I wasn't able to draw blood, and thirdly my Dad saw my innocent assault and........lets just say "taught me never to do it again!".

as of yet I've never been in any fist-fights either. Once my brother was incredoibly agitated at me, and in a fit of rage attempted to punch me, but i simply blocked them all while laughing...........i didn't mean to, it was just so humourous......

but i condone no such things now though!

Before and during elementary school, my older sister and younger brother and I lived in this nice house on a hill. There was a problem with this house, though: It was so windy ALL THE TIME that our big wooden swing on the front porch would always fling itself off the porch and waaaaaaaaaaaaay into the front yard (thus becoming a yard swing). Anyway, we had this little swingset (with a slide attached) in our back yard, where my siblings and I would stand before it rained. We would go to the top of the slide and scream TWISTER!!!, spin around, and (usually) fall off. Of course, there were never any twisters.

i used to tie tricylces and wagons together with my cousins and we would make trains to go down the hill i live on. we would use twist ties, rope, chain, shoe laces, anything that worked to attach any single/double kiddie vehicle to the next... god that was fun.

Lol I could post 100 stories which me and my friends did when we were young.
Heh let's start at the base:
When I was 3 years old I once ate the Tulips my mom had just planted. She was sooo mad at me. Tulips taste bad.

When my brother was 4 he once fell in our pool. With his clothes. At that same moment I was attacked by bees after trying to hit them with a stick.
Somehow I got away without pain...
My brother on the other hand lost his best clothes that day.
(I was 6 years old)

Me and friends and my bro, played a lot together. So countless times we built 2 fortresses at my house and play a bit of soldier.
Later on we just built 2 walls of boxes and threw stuffed animals at each other.
And we used 2 dinosaur pluchies to perform melee combat. That was so fun.
(I had a damaged pet, He lost one eye so my mom sewed in a button instead of an eye. That button really hurts when you get it thrown in your face.)
We really had numerous incidents with this though.
To save time and not reach the character limit I will tell only one now:
One day we made our walls in the hallway right next to the stairs. (It is a really tight hallway so we couldn't move left or right without hitting a wall.)
Then after a while my dad comes upstairs. He gets really angry and starts shouting (no good posting what he said since it's in Dutch), He kicks over my wall. Then moves on to my Brother's wall and kicks it over as well. Only he hits my bro in the face after that and keeps yelling at him. When he approached me again. I ran with my friends outside. To safety. Only to remember 2 hours later that I had to go home someday anyway.

New chapter:
As I got older, I kept getting into trouble: fights(I always won, however I'm really short (even now I'm shorter than most girls my age...), always had louzy physics and really I never meant to fight, people always dragged me in these situations, like once I had to hit a girl because the other guy was too much of a wimp (actually he loved her, I found that out later on) just because he wanted to see how tough she really was.)
girls: I always have gotten into all sorts of troubles with girls... Still I really enjoy being in company of girls. I guess having no male friends at school for 4 years teach you how to understand girls. In the end I have some really great friends though.
(I do had male friends outside school...)
Wackyness: Now that's a pretty weird story, I really liked doing weird stuff nobody understood. Like making up impossible puzzles for people. Walking randomly over the playground, Walking at a pace you only can define as 'just not running'. I also once tripped away a chair from a girl. (That ***** tried to get me in a relation with someone without my consent.) She really fell down funny. Best part is she blamed someone else.
I do had a fight with her later on.... Which I "won", she just ran off during the fight... I guess she didn't want to fight after a while.
That happened in my first 2 years in secundary school.

The 2 next years I will not discuss here now...
(some problems involving these words: Girls, Class, School, CLB, Psychologists, Research, IQ-Test, Insanity, stalking, Coins, Disease, allergy, 100 (the number for hospitals in belgium), KO, Friends, Thinking, lonelyness, love, hate, Death, life, saved, Mental-test: I bet people are thinking, what the hell means all that. Well it sounds worse than it is, but I really can call those a few keywords in the events that occured during those 2 years.)
(NOTE: NO I'M NOT INSANE IF THAT IS WHAT YOU THINK!)

last year and this year: Great years, but... No girls, no events actually.... Nearly nothing at all happened. heh, my life got boring now I have to lay low. Else they'll find me, catch me and interrogate me again. (No really: I used to be a problem child and the CLB (translates as 'Centre for Student Guidance'... as if anyone would be interested: In dutch it's 'Centrum voor LeerlingenBegeleiding') is still watching my every move. I can't make a mistake now. I have atoned for my sins the past years. I can finally get on with my life as a computer specialist.

One day me and my friend were playing outside and we started to smell something really funky. We followed the smell and it turns out it was a dead cat. It feel off the tree or something? Not sure what happened to it. But anyways we were on our bikes, so we took turns running over the dead cat's head.

We were like 10, so yeah.

Anyone hear about the feral cats in Wisconsin, and how there are like over 2mill of them or something. Now there are hunters hunting those poor cats. T_T.

That's kind of gross with the spiders. Which reminds me of a time when I was around 7-10 years old. I would go around catching daddy long legs (a type of spider) and hold them really close to the lights in the bathroom. I can feel the heat comming off of the light bulbs from pretty far away. when he was little, living in guatemala (born and raised, moved to US later) he was a very curious child. he would be very scientific at times, or so my grandma tells me... well one day when he was 4 or so, he noticed one of the family cats ran away every time there was a loud noise near by. he hypothesized on that... "what if the noise follows?" soooooo..... one day he took a bunch of empty tin cans and some string, and made a chain of cans... which he then tied to the cats tail. the cat had no idea what was about to happen. my unc slammed the cans around and the cat automatically made a run for it. if it only knew.... the cat ran frantically tried to evade the sound that it was creating... my uncle watched, intrigued by his experiment.

the cat eventually stopped.... because the cans got caught between two very tightly spaced trees, anchoring the cat in an instant. when my uncle found the cat it was covered in its own secretions... luckily it lived, but as the story goes, the cat never let him get too close again.

LOL, classical conditioning. Poor kitty, I did something similar to this. I found a stray cat hiding behind the sofa out side in the patio, and it I took the hose and sprayed water at it. It never came back ^-^" good thing too because it would sit on our wall and sing all night.

I got a new bike and I wanted to test it out. So I set up a ramp and stuff and decided to jump over some stuff. I had my sister and some other stuff lay down on the other side of the ramp. To make a long story short. I landed on my sisters stomache. Yeah she wasn't very happy >_<"

Close to my house we have something like a little scouts building standing there. Sometimes those scouts meet there. Even up to today.I remember the old leaders there had created a big pile of rubble there.
Just garbage including an old bench. And they just burned it.
Afterwards there still was a big pile of ashes with still wood and metal burning afterwards and those guys just left it there. (It still burned a little)
So me, my friends and my bro went to check it out.
We all played a game like climb the big pile of ashes without burning yourself.
So we really had to run fast over that pile. It was pretty big. But my brother couldn't get over the thing and just kept standing in the ashes.
Then we had to pull him off. And then we just threw another bench in the pile.
(Those scouts really must have been pissed when they found out)
The bench cought on fire and we decided to jump a little on the burning bench.
Then we threw in a chair or 2 and just left.
My brother had once again been standing in the ashes because we didn't let him touch our burning bench.
When we came home my mom got pissed.
On my brother, because it seemed his shoes had melted of the heat. If he had stood there any longer his shoes might have cought on fire.

In my local area people leave wood outside there houses for others to take for there bonfires, isn’t that nice! So my friends and I decided to build our own fire out of the wood left outside the local scout hut. We were only about 12 at the time.

A few days later there was an article in Bolton’s leading daily news paper about a scout hut entire floor being stolen and how the troop (or pack or whatever) would have to disband, a few days after the article, a couple of scouts from the pack came to my house and asked if they could do any jobs to raise money for the new floor, I thought someone had told them and they were going to beat the crap out of me. Anyway I managed to get them to leave by giving them a donation.

I think I still have the news paper cutting somewhere.

The next day we walked down the footpath and noticed that the crap was still there! Stuck tight!

We then went back the following night! And yes the pooh was still there!

On the third night we returned to the footpath and to our amazement the person who lived there had just smeared the crap all over the window... and just not bothered to clean it off…it was hilarious at the time but it got my friend Geoff over excited and he frantically searched for another crap to throw, unfortunately there was no crap to be found so he pulled down his pants and took a crap right in front of us, that the only time I’ve ever watched one of my friend take a pooh... kind of lost my interest in the game after that.

eh, back on topic:

When I was 10 years old, me and my brother got a pair of plastic swords from some store. At first we tried hitting each other with it. But my brother soon realised he got his ass kicked every time he fought me. (I was smart to use my fists more than some plastic thingie.)
So one day he challenged me to beat as much flies, wasps, bees, etc out of the air as possible in our backyard.
First it went okay because we only saw normal flies and such. but after a while more and more wasps and bees came along. Well that all went fine untill my broyther decided to anger a nest of bees. We had to defend against many bees and none of us both wanted to quit to lose to the other.
In the end I only got stinged because I stepped on a bee (I wasn't wearing shoes... stupid me). My brother on the other hand had quit a bit of pain from those bees.
He was the first to run off to the safety of our house. I followed him like 5 seconds later. Bees can be nasty opponents.
Since we forgot to count the fallen bees and flies we never really decided who won.

haha. Yeah I used to try to whip wasps out of the sky with a skipping rope, I never got stung tho, probably because you cant really hit a wasp with a skipping rope, maybe I was just lucky. I did get a wasp stuck in my ear when I was little, had to get an ice cream van driver to scoop in out with a screwball scramble spoon. Do you have screwball scrambles in America? It's like a plastic cone filled with usually raspberry ripple ice cream with a little gum ball at the bottom.

i decided it would be fun since my boredom had reached an all time high, to kill as many of the wasps around my house as possible with water guns and household chemicals... we were smart enough to keep our distance, but not smart enough to wear any amount of protection (shorts, not shirts, barefoot). i didnt know wasps were so resiliant until i soaked one in about 6 different things before it died

Yeah there was this psychotic guy at my primary school that attacked me with a staple gun! It wasn’t that bad when they were going in but getting staples pulled out of your back hurts like crazy when your 10! I don’t know how you can do that and not get in trouble!?! He also beat my friend robin with a chair, split my head open on a radiator and threw a ruler at my face cutting me right next to my eye... the guy needed help, Still he did used to write really cool songs about setting fire to the building..

okay... i have one! err two acutally...

okay first one. my sister who was twelve at the time (i was six) was making multicolored crayons by taking other cryon shavings and melting them together int he mirowave. so i asked her to make me one adn she put it on a paper towel and put it in the mirowave. several seconds later the microwave cuaght fire and we had to put i tout. to this day we still use the same mirowave.

ok, i was about eight when this happened....i was playing street hocky with 13 year old guys (i was the only chick) and i was the goalie, which i hated. anyway! one of the guys porposely hit the puck so it would fly at me. well i couldnt get out of the way in time so i get hit in the forehead and flew backwards. i was really mad so i took my hockey stick and beat him with it. then his other friend tried helping him and i got really mad they ganged up on me and i fought them. several minutes later i laughed at them all bloodied up and bruised while i got away with a bloody nose.

Umm have you ever eaten too much durian? Yeah I ate like almost the whole thing by myself once and I couldn't get my eyes open because there was so much crusted sleep on my eyes that it sealed them shut.

If you don't know what durian looks like then you can always google it, and I think none asian people are really scared of the smell. I think it's halarious. It kind of looks like jack fruit but it's actually really spikey and the spikes are really hard. You could use the fruit as a mace if you wanted to. ^-^"
