Ok so we have Bleach and Naruto which are kinda cool shows:headbang: but what else is there to watch?

tried to watch chobits....could only watch 2 episodes...idea of moron being in love with the robot did not appeal to me.

tried one piece ...also idi not like it.

Is there any long or short running anime you might suggest?

Usually, the birth of heirs would be a joy to any kingdom. The 1920`s were well known as a period of excitement and change. It was a time where the women were fast and loose, and the booze flowed freely, in spite of prohibition laws. For the elite of society, they have found a new form of excess, conjuring devils. By 1928, things were getting out of hand.
A special organization called the "Order of Magdalene" was created centurys ago to deal with this kind of threat. Headed by Father Remington and Sister Kate, these young men and women are equipped with heavy duty weapons for then to perform God`s good will.
One of the more infamous members of this group is Sister Rosette. Her fame isn`t necessarily positive. In fact, Sister Kate thinks she is nothing more than a menace to society, because whenever Rosette is on a case, things tend to explode. It also doesn`t help that Rosette`s partner is one of the very things they fight against, a very powerful devil named Chrono. Bound to Rosette by a mystical amulet, Chrono may be under control, but that doesn`t make him any less dangerous.
While Rosette and Chrono fight for the Magdalene Order, something is string in the background. An evil, more powerful than Chrono, is waiting in the wings, ready to destroy not only the Order, but all of creation!

The diclonius, otherwise known as a two-horned human, are mutants of the human species, may well be the next step in human evolution. The diclonius have horns and strong telekinetic powers represented by "arms". However with this great power, they can easily destroy the human race. Fearful of their power, humans quarantined the diclonius into secret research facilities to study. However, in a freak accident, a enraged female diclonius escaped, killing many guards in the process. Interesting enough, the female escapee appears to have suffered amnesia after her escape and floated to Yuigahama of Kamakura city. There, she meets two people named Kouta and Yuka, who name the female diclonius "Nyuu", and decide that they all should live together.

Full Metal Alchemist - or FMA - is an Anime (and obviously, a Manga) that is about a world where a power equaling sorcery is available - it is called Alchemy. This allows certain people, known as "Alchemists", to make one thing in another. Howeverr, Alchemy is restricted by a number of rules, the most important one being the "Law of Equivelant Trade". It means that in order to make something, a thing of equal value (in weight, amount, value) should be sacrifised.
The Anime is about two twins, Alphonse and Edward Elric, searching for the mystical and misterious Philosopher's Stone, an object that is said to bypass the Law of Equivelant Trade. They search for it, because they wish to perfrom the forbidden Huma Transmutation - to bring their dearest person back to life - their mother.

So that's the general story of FMA, I think I've covered all I could without spoiling anything important. IMO, it's definetly worth watching.

I'm glad that someone mentioned Mai-Hime and Full Metal Alchemist. I highly recommend Full Metal Alchemist... :) I'm currently watching that one right now... the story and art is so awesome.

I also love Mai-Hime... if you like watching Mai-Hime, then I suggest Mai-Otome. Mai-Hime definitely gets ALOT better later on around Episodes 14 or so. Plenty of plot twists to keep you on the edge.

I recommend Fullmetal Alchemist for sure. As someone said, it has a great storyline and artwork. Better than Bleach I would add.

chrono crusade is fscking amazing, i strongly recommend it even though its oldish.
kenshin is also very very good and is an all time classic.
samurai champloo is the best "samurai" anime out there imo.
fate/stay night is very interesting, 9 eps so far.
FMA ended funny though, i didnt like the ending.

There is a FMA movie out also. that changes that ending to whole new ending and a really diffrent perspective of the alchemy in the serie.

Maybe if you didn't like One Piece, you'd like darker stuff. If so, try Gungrave, Hellsing, or Berserk.

If you want a Romantic/Comedy anime then I suggest very much "Love Hina", very balanced in both regions and will get you addicted by the first two episodes.
