Hey, all. I drew this the other day, and I figured I should post it and see if anyone likes it. I cleaned it up a bit on my compy before posting it.

I think the eyes and hair need improvement. The eyes remind me of dbz and his hair strands aren't all short. :face82: he actually looks pretty mad hehe

Yeah, you're all right, the hair looks almost like that of a DBZ character. The eyes aren't quite right either, but I specifically tried not to draw them like a DBZ character.

Unfortunately, that kind of thing sneaks into my drawings because I did almost exclusively DBZ fanart for quite some time. Also, I wasn't actually looking at a pic of Hitsugaya when I drew this, which was probably a mistake, lol.

Byakuya looks great! I love his face, however the hair on the left (his right, our left) looks to be popping out a little. But other than that, the picture's fine.

The hitsugaya one is good but the head is a little out of shape,and yes the hair is quite DBZ like. Byakua on the other hand is very good, but a little bit of his hair is popping out(unless that was intentional).

I still don't get the hair popping out thing. Do you mean the three strands in front of his face? If so, then you're right, it was intentional. But otherwise, I just don't see it. I'm actually inclined to think it's an optical illusion.

Thanks, all who've commented. Critiques do help, though I wish someone would have said what specifically was popping out sooner… I think I might see what you all mean, now.

If so, then that was intentional. It's one of the two lengths of hair that come from the two side parts of Byakuya's Kuchiki clan leader headgear.

Thanks for the comment, but it almost sounds like you're saying that both drawings have eyes like something out of DBZ. I sort of agree with that on Hitsugaya, but it simply isn't possible with Byakuya, given that I used a reference from the Bleach anime and copied his eyes as closely as possible without resorting to tracing…

If any of this sounds like I'm on the defensive, I don't mean to be. I'm just trying to find out what some people people are meaning by their comments. If one does not ask for explanations of critiques, one cannot improve the flaws others percieve in one's work.

i dont think its intended to look like photocopied bleach characters, its meant to have a good resemblence but also has the artist's own style in it.

Saycheese has pretty much got it. I'm trying to emulate Kubo Tite's style, but I'm also trying to put my own spin on it.

Edit (3-31-06): Didn't want to get in trouble for double posting in here, so here's another shot at the same character. His hair's a bit different in this pic, 'cause I'm still trying to work out what I want him to look like. I'm not sure if I like his hair better in this one or the other one. Also, the proportions are a bit off, but I really like the stance.

Edit (4-02-06): Adding another pic of this character. Still haven't got a name for him, though. I drew it while I was playing D&D w/ my friends, lol.

This is supposed to be him wielding Karasuhaneyoku Kurotenshi (http://forums.bleachportal.net/showpost.php?p=353275&postcount=1216), his Bankai. I would have included the wings that go with said Bankai, but they'd be too big, and I'd feel obligated to color them in, which would result in horrendous smudging :p:

By the way, I'm thinking about working on a mini-comic, and I'm looking for people to collaborate on it. I'm thinking something original, but it could be a Bleach fanfic in comic form. Either way, if anyone wants to be in on it, let me know, either via PM or IM or e-mail. I'm mostly looking for people that can do comic lettering, coloring, inking and story. I think I'll be able to handle the pencil art for the most part, but if anyone wants to help with that, I'd be cool with that, too.

C+C would be greatly appreciated on this one - though I'm leaning toward something more like the second one. That's supposed to be two blades in the second pic, BTW. The side view kind of hides that.

That is a DAMN good Ichigo if you ask me! Byakuya looks pretty good! The Hitsugaya one looks good, but could be better if you ask me. I'm not going to say he has a mullet, but he does have some laid down hair on him. Hollow Ichigo looks pretty good... you should draw a female charecter.....
