I don't have any tatoos or piercings. There's something about them being (more or less) permanent that isn't attractive. I know tatoos can be removed by laser, but that's expensive and leaves scars. Earrings are the same deal for me...not a fan of permanent holes. I like earrings though...if i were to get some, i'd get small hoops in both lobes, and small hoops on the top of each ear.

Nichigo-San can try henna if tattoo is not ur thing, body paint sort of but lasts at least few days. Hoop earrings are cool but rem to remove it when playing sports had seen some freaky ear-tearing accidents involving these sorta earrings. Ear-studs are somewat safer even if not allowed sometimes.

I have the traditional ears piercing. I used to have a tongue piercing but when I got anemia my tongue got swallow and the acrilyc piercing got broken. After that I coulnd't get the metal one since in my job they don't allow that type of jewlery (Pharmacy Industry) So I have only the scar not too visible to proveed that I had it.
As for tattoo's I'm dying to get one but my family is too troublesome for that.I don't want to repeat the incident with my mom when she found about the tongue piercing. It hurted like hell. Althought I have my design for the tattoo. The other thing that stops me from getting one is that I'm still not convinced or sure to get one without regretting it. Just a reminder to anyone who wants a piercing: make sure to get it done properly. I had one piercing on my ear that went bad. Apparently pierced through my ear cartillage :sad and formed a keloid scar, which i had to remove surgically, followed by a series of meditation to stop the scar from forming again.

Man, i freaked out & didnt do any piercing anymore.

I've gone through a lot of piercings in my time; I tend to get bored with them and take them out within a couple of years of getting them. What I have currently (and am probably going to stick with) is a lip piercing with a small labret-style stud and a simple half-shield on my left nipple. I want to eventually get a tattoo of a clematis (symbolizes mental beauty) on my lower back, but I have yet to finish the design or find an artist who is good enough at shading to meet my requirements. The project's kind of on the backburner since I'm such a perfectionist. However, as a random side note, my mother in law used to tattoo and taught me some; since her carpal tunnel syndrome is too bad for her to tat anymore, she gave me all of her supplies, but I still have to get the gun tuned and start practicing again...

the labrets in a lip piercing can wear away at your gums and you can lose your teeth and of course the infections you can get, and of course it dam hurts!

I've got a few piercings. Stretched ears, lip piercing, septum piercing (that I no longer wear jewellery in and it makes annoying whistling noises when I try to sleep :eek13:). I had an eyebrow piercing - it rejected. I also have two... other piercings :winking56.

Tattoo-wise I have a not-so-good tattoo of a tribal crying moon on my left wrist. Then I have this tribal crow tattoo (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/25799448/) on the back of my head.

And yes, it all hurts. I think it hurts less than a lot of people would think, though.

I have my ears pierced. I have had my Lebret pierced twice (just below the lower lip) but have since gotten rid of it. I have a tattoo on my upper left arm of the Arabic symbol for wisdom.

That's my most recent one. That's what's called a Treble Clef, in music. And then in cursive it says, "Every Good Boy Does Fine". Which are the 5 lines going from the bottom to the top on a sheet of music.

Piercings: had ear and a fancy double labret that made me look like satan. Removed ear piercing due to lack of interest and took out the labrets because they got majorly infected.

Tattoos: A cross on the inside of my left forearm and a huge wierd man/wolf sillhouette on my right shoulder taken from the cover of the book Steppenwolf.

I'm not into piercings (on myself) anymore, but I long for many more important tattoos when I have a surplus of moneys. :)

This is true, but when you decide to get a piercing or a tattoo, that's a risk you are taking.

Myself with 3 piercings(eyebrow, cartalidge,and lobe), only one got infected.
My eyebrow ring did get ripped out 2 summers ago, but I got it replaced cause it's apart of who I am - as corny as that is.

My advice, since I've gotten two already, is that you should get something meaningful to you. Not just a random thing like most people get for their first tattoo or something like that.

If the dragon has value in your live, or symbolizes something, go for it!

As long as you're pierced by an experienced piercer with sterile needles and hardware, you'll be fine.

Most infections aren't from the actual act of being pierced, but from not cleaning the piercing properly during the healing process.

Tongue - professionally done.

Ear - Did it myself - waste of money getting it done professionally as it's such a simple painless procedure if you know what you're doing.

Tattoo's; None as of yet - I've only recently finalised my design I would get myself inked with. I've had the design planned for years, and have changed it many times, which is part of the reason I haven't yet had it done. The other reason as to why I've not had my design tattooed yet is because I've never been 110% certain, where I would most like to have it done on me. ~_~
